    Where it All Began
Grace's love for music began practically at birth. Before the age of two in her Ottawa area daycare centre, staff advised her parents to get Grace vocal lessons as soon as possible. They remarked that she was a natural at leading the singing, and was the only one on key!

    Journey
Grace grew up with a love for involvement in school plays and musicals. Born in Ottawa, Ontario to a West African father and British/Swiss mother, she was raised in Washington, D.C., spent time in Sierra Leone, West Africa; moved back to Toronto, Canada and attended college in Fort Lauderdale Florida, where she studied fashion design. Grace was trained in Evangelism Explosion under the leadership of D. James Kennedy at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Her personal decision to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior came at the age of eight. She finally landed in Mississauga, Ontario, where she currently resides with her husband Brian. During her musical formative years, she sang in church groups and choirs, and back when worship teams were just beginning, was part of the very first worship team at The Peoples Church (Peoples) in Toronto.

    The Calling
Having spent sixteen years growing up in and around Peoples, one of the ways that God began to prepare Grace for ministry was her being offered a job as administrative assistant to the Minister of Music. During that tenure, in addition to the complete preparation of music for choir/musical teams and for special event Sundays, including recruiting musicians, Grace learned the fine art of "artist booking". She handled public relations on behalf of the music minister and the church, extensively planning and coordinating concert events of Grammy award-winning artists, and many up-and-coming vocalists in the Toronto area. By watching Christians with a love for God express themselves freely through music, her own desire to encourage the church body and lead searching people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ grew; she knew that God would use her in a wonderful way if she was totally committed to His calling - forsaking all else. Psalm 139 has been a particularly inspirational portion of Scripture, discussing the way that God has plans for each of our lives before we are even aware of them. It is a reminder by a loving God of a place where she can look back and see direction and planning over her life. As life has progressed, it has become clear to Grace that as His children we are each absolutely required to use our gifts for His glory - so that others might be touched - and encouraged - by God. We live in a dark world that needs the freeing and forgiving love and joy that only Jesus Christ brings. As individuals we have to recognize that responsibility.

    Ministry
For many years, even those when she was not totally committed to "the calling", Grace has strongly felt the call of God on her life expressed through music; this was solidified when she attended performance coach Tom Jackson's Institute of Music & Ministry. Grace spent eight years at Queensway Baptist Church in Toronto; it was there that she met and married her husband, Brian. As a vocalist, her ministry began to expand as she accepted bookings for weddings, women's events, small church banquets and charity fundraisers. With the urging of her Pastor to lead worship on a regular basis, Grace took that step of faith and was amazed to see how, despite her flaws, God blessed it. She began to plan services by researching music and working with a group of volunteers, including joining with two other women for the creation of a wonderful worship team. 'The Trio' worked hard over many countless hours to prepare music that served and honored God, and led their congregation into His worship. Best of all, she had great fun doing it. It was during these times that God reinforced His promise to us in Jeremiah 29 : "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope." Today Grace can be found serving in ministry at Mississauga City Baptist Church, where she is a worship leader and team member, and with her husband attends a weekly community-active cell group for study, prayer, fellowship and personal growth. It is her deep desire that God bless people through her life and her joy of music -- so that in the end, even one soul might come to know our wonderful Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

"He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along." Psalm 40:2
