Frequently Asked Questions
What type of music do you sing?
I sing all kinds of music. Contemporary Christian music is a favorite genre, but I am inspired by artists such as Sandi Patty, Point of Grace and Twila Paris. I also sing a variety of traditional hymns that are the backbone of my faith, and adult contemporary pieces, like those of Josh Groban. Depends on the event!
What type of events do you sing at?
Do you sing with an accompanist?
Primarily I use backup tracks. I'm happy to sing with an accompanist if it is necessary for a special wedding piece if a track is not available.
Do you have sample music that I can listen to?
You can listen here and here.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your life?
Musically, the incredibly talented Sandi Patty has been the largest influence on me and the music I love. She is a transparent Christian who has made some pretty heavy mistakes and has been very candid about the fact that she is not perfect, but a sinner who needs God's grace. She strayed, but was restored to God by choice. She has been an inspiration since I first witnessed her sing "We Shall Behold Him" on the PTL Club many years ago. And the voice speaks for itself.
There is not one answer for this question - I have been more fortunate than that. Firstly, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the One who provides daily sustenance that I need to cope with this journey called "life", and he has been a wonderful friend and guide through times of difficulty and joys too. Secondly, my mom. Despite the normal ups and downs that go with mother-daughter relationships, she has been a constant since my birth and has also been a great friend. Thirdly, my husband Brian is a God-given gift to me who provides Godly leadership and constant encouragement, pushing me to do and to be the very best I can.
